Create a dedicated backyard retreat with the ALEKO 5-Person Thermowood Outdoor Sauna, a traditional wet/dry sauna designed for year-round outdoor use. Its cabin-style layout gives you a more spacious, upright interior than a compact barrel sauna, while the angled entry helps make efficient use of the approximately 5.25 ft × 5.25 ft footprint.

Built from Thermowood, the sauna is designed to handle changing outdoor conditions while resisting common issues like warping and rot. A weather-resistant asphalt roof adds another layer of protection, while the tempered glass door, built-in ventilation, and interior LED lighting help create a comfortable, finished space for regular use.

At the center of the experience is an included 6 kW UL-certified Harvia heater, made in Finland and paired with 35 lbs. of sauna stones for traditional high-heat wet or dry sauna sessions. Adjustable heater controls let you tailor each session, while included accessories such as the wooden bucket, water scoop, sand timer, and thermo-hygrometer help complete the setup.

With seating for up to five adults and a straightforward DIY-oriented assembly design, this sauna offers a strong combination of outdoor durability, traditional heat, and everyday usability at a more approachable price point than many larger backyard sauna builds.

Thermowood Built for the Outdoors

Designed for backyard use, the Thermowood construction combines natural warmth with improved durability and dimensional stability. The weather-resistant roof helps protect the sauna from the elements, while the traditional cabin design gives your outdoor space a finished, intentional look.

Built for a Permanent Place in Your Backyard

Thermowood construction gives this sauna a practical advantage outdoors, with improved resistance to moisture-related movement, warping, and rot compared with untreated softwoods. It is a strong fit for homeowners who want a traditional sauna without committing to constant exterior upkeep.

Traditional Heat From a 6 kW Harvia Heater

The included 6 kW UL-certified Harvia heater delivers the high-temperature wet or dry sauna experience buyers expect from a traditional setup. With 35 lbs. of sauna stones included, you can enjoy dry heat or add water to the stones for bursts of steam.

Comfortable 5-Person Cabin Layout

The cabin-style footprint gives you a more open, upright interior than a compact barrel design while still staying relatively space-efficient at about 5.25 ft × 5.25 ft. Seating for up to five adults makes it a good fit for couples, families, or anyone who wants extra room to relax.

Traditional Heat, Powered by Harvia

At the heart of the sauna is a Harvia electric heater designed to deliver the rich, enveloping heat of a traditional sauna experience. A generous stone capacity helps create consistent warmth, while straightforward dial controls make it easy to adjust your session and unwind on your schedule.

Shipping and Delivery

This sauna ships by LTL freight due to its size and weight. Delivery is made to a residential or commercial address, and customers should plan for a large palletized shipment rather than standard parcel delivery.

Free shipping is available within the contiguous United States. Additional charges may apply for certain rural or limited-access locations.

Because freight deliveries are large, customers should make sure the delivery location is accessible for a freight truck and have a plan for moving the sauna components from the delivery point to the final installation area.

Please inspect the shipment carefully at delivery and note any visible damage on the delivery receipt before signing.

Room to Stretch Out and Settle In

A spacious, multi-level bench layout gives you the freedom to sit upright, recline, or share the sauna with someone else. The natural wood interior creates a warm, calming atmosphere that feels purpose-built for slowing down after a long day.

Care and Maintenance

Thermowood is designed for outdoor durability, but regular care will help the sauna stay looking better and performing properly over time.

Keep the exterior clean and free of leaves, dirt, and standing moisture, especially around the roof, base, and lower wall sections. Periodically inspect the asphalt roofing, tempered glass, vents, door hardware, and exterior wood for signs of wear or water intrusion.

Inside the sauna, wipe down benches and high-contact surfaces as needed and allow the interior to dry fully after each session. Keep the built-in vents clear so moisture can escape, and avoid using harsh household chemicals or heavy coatings on the interior wood.

Sauna stones should also be checked periodically for cracking, crumbling, or excess debris, and the Harvia heater should be maintained according to the heater manufacturer’s instructions.

For more detailed guidance on cleaning, wood care, heater stones, seasonal upkeep, and moisture prevention, see our Outdoor Sauna Cleaning & Maintenance Guide.

Returns, Damage & Order Issues

Please inspect the sauna carefully when it arrives. Because this product ships by LTL freight, any visible damage to the crate or packaging should be noted on the delivery receipt before signing. If the crate arrives damaged, you may refuse the shipment. If you accept it, make sure the damage is documented on the delivery paperwork. ALEKO Products

If the crate looks fine but concealed damage is found after opening it, ALEKO requires the issue to be reported within 3 business days of delivery with photos. Damage should also be reported to the freight carrier within 24 hours. ALEKO Products

ALEKO offers a 30-day return window from the date of delivery. Buyer’s-remorse returns must be unused and in the same condition received, and the customer is responsible for return shipping. A 15% restocking fee may apply if the product is not returned in its original condition. ALEKO Products

For damaged or defective products, ALEKO may first provide replacement parts. If the issue cannot be resolved that way, a replacement unit, refund, or store credit may be available depending on the situation. ALEKO Products

For any return, damage claim, missing parts, or order issue, contact Lems Supply first so we can help coordinate the next steps with ALEKO.

Frequently asked questions

What is Thermowood, and does this sauna need to be stained or sealed?

Thermowood is heat-treated wood designed for improved dimensional stability and resistance to moisture-related movement, warping, and decay. It can be left to weather naturally outdoors, although an exterior wood treatment may be used if you want to help preserve its original color. Avoid applying ordinary exterior stains, sealers, or coatings to the sauna interior unless specifically approved for sauna use.

What electrical setup does the 6 kW Harvia heater require?

The included 6 kW UL-certified Harvia heater requires professional electrical installation and cannot be plugged into a standard household outlet. Have a licensed electrician review the heater requirements, your electrical panel, and the planned sauna location before installation. The exact breaker, wiring, and installation method should follow the heater documentation and applicable local electrical code.

How many people does the sauna seat, and what is included?

ALEKO rates this outdoor sauna for up to five adults. The package includes the Thermowood sauna structure, weather-resistant asphalt roof, 6 kW Harvia heater, sauna stones, interior LED lighting, tempered glass, built-in ventilation, wooden bucket, water scoop, sand timer, and thermo-hygrometer.

What kind of base does the sauna need?

The sauna should be installed on a firm, stable, and level surface so the cabin remains properly supported and aligned. Depending on the property, suitable installations may include a properly prepared concrete pad, paver or gravel base, or structurally suitable deck. Site conditions vary, so the base should be planned before delivery and assembly.

Can I assemble this sauna myself?

ALEKO describes the sauna as DIY assembly friendly, but this is still a substantial outdoor structure with wall, roof, glass, and heater components. Having at least two adults available is the practical approach. The sauna structure can be assembled on-site, while the Harvia heater should be connected by a qualified electrician.
