To help protect the ALEKO Celasia and keep the wood in good condition, apply a suitable exterior wood stain only to the outside surfaces of the sauna. Do not stain the interior wood, which should remain untreated for safe sauna use and proper heat performance.
Keep the roof and weather-resistant shingles clear of leaves, dirt, branches, moss, and other debris so moisture does not become trapped against the surface.
After each sauna session, run the heater for approximately 20 to 30 minutes to help dry the interior wood. Leave the door slightly open, keep the ventilation openings unobstructed, remove wet towels and accessories, and wipe the benches dry if moisture is present.
For routine upkeep, ALEKO recommends heating the sauna about once per week to approximately 160 to 175°F for 30 to 45 minutes to help remove moisture trapped in the wood. Allow the sauna to cool afterward with the door slightly open.
About once a month, clean the benches and interior walls with a mild sauna cleaner or diluted vinegar solution. Lightly sand any discolored, soiled, or rough areas of interior wood as needed, and keep all ventilation openings clear and unobstructed.
